My mom, Geraldine “Carolina Mama” Thigpen from Burgaw, NC. UNC Tarheels celebrate 50th Anniversary of the 1957 team and 25th Anniversary of 1982 NCAA basketball championship. She gets Wilmington Star News Photo of the Year.
